What Airbag is
Airbag is a launchpad on top of Pons V2 on Robinhood Chain. Anyone launches a coin through Airbag; the coin itself is a normal Pons coin with a normal bonding curve that graduates into a locked Uniswap pool. What changes is how the coin is launched and where the creator fee goes.
Airbag never touches the bonding curve or the liquidity. It launches the coin with no insider wallets, locks the creator's launch bag, and routes the creator fee stream that Pons already pays out into a split that funds a cashback pot for the coin's buyers.
How a launch works
- Pons does the launch. The Airbag launch contract calls the official Pons V2 factory. The bonding curve, graduation and trading stay on Pons. On Pons the coin shows the Airbag launch contract as its deployer.
- No exemption list. Pons lets a launcher exempt up to 32 wallets from its 99% launch-second snipe tax. Airbag calls the overload that takes no list. The only addresses Pons exempts automatically are the Airbag launch contract and the coin's fee receiver, and neither can buy after the launch transaction.
- The launch bag goes into the lock. If the creator chooses an initial buy, the launch contract buys it from the curve inside the same transaction and transfers the tokens to the lock contract. The bag is capped at of the supply.
- The fee stream is fixed. The coin's Pons creator fee recipient is a small per-coin receiver contract whose only ability is to pull the coin's ETH out of the Pons fee escrow and deposit it into the Airbag vault. It has no function that could move the stream elsewhere.
- Terms are frozen per coin. The split, the creator tax and the lock schedule a coin launches with are recorded for that coin and never change, even if Airbag changes its defaults for future launches. The launch transaction carries a hash of the terms the creator saw; if they changed in between, the launch fails instead of going through on different terms.
Where the fee goes
Pons charges a base trading fee on every trade and keeps 30% of it as protocol revenue; the other 70% is the creator fee. Airbag coins also carry a creator tax, which Pons pays entirely into the same creator stream. Every time that stream is collected, the vault splits it on-chain:
Creator — the wallet that launched the coin
Cashback pot — this coin's buyers
Airbag — runs the service
Each coin has its own pot. A pot can only pay that coin's buyers, and it can never pay more than it holds. The creator's share accrues in the vault and the creator withdraws it whenever they like.
Cashback rules
- Lots. Every buy opens a lot: how many tokens, what they cost in ETH (including fees), and when. Sells consume lots oldest-first.
- Loss. A lot's loss is what it cost minus what the sold tokens actually fetched, after all fees. Gains on other lots do not cancel losses.
- Minimum hold. Only lots held at least count. A buy flipped within that window earns nothing, which closes the buy-and-sell farming loop.
- Rate. Cashback is of the eligible loss, capped at per wallet per UTC week.
- Who is excluded. The coin's creator, Airbag's own contracts and the Pons contracts. Tokens that arrived by transfer have no cost and earn nothing.
- Paid in ETH, from the pot. The engine signs your running total; the vault pays the difference between that total and what you already received, never more than the coin's pot. If the pot is short you get what is there, and the rest stays claimable.
- Circuit breaker. The vault pays at most a fixed amount of cashback per rolling 24 hours across all coins (the limit itself can never be raised above a ceiling fixed at deployment), and the owner can pause claims instantly. Replacing the signing key takes 24 hours. Together these mean a stolen signing key, or a stolen owner key, cannot empty the pots before anyone notices.
The creator lock
Nothing from the launch bag moves for . After that it releases evenly over . The schedule is fixed when the lock is created and nobody, Airbag included, can change it or withdraw early. The creator can hand the lock to another wallet if they lose a key.
Fees
- Launch fee: Pons's launch fee () plus Airbag's (), paid with the launch transaction, plus any initial buy. Network gas is additional.
- Trading fees: set by Pons, plus the creator tax. Airbag adds nothing on top of trades.
- Airbag's share: of the creator fee stream, the only ongoing fee.
- Claims: free apart from gas.
Risks
- Meme coins are volatile and most go to zero. Cashback softens a loss; it does not remove it. Nothing here is advice or a promise of anything.
- The pot only fills when the coin trades. No trades, no fees, no payouts.
- The Airbag contracts are small, published and verified on Blockscout, and tested against Pons's deployed code, but they have not had an external audit yet. Use them at your own risk.
- Cashback allocation is computed off-chain by Airbag from on-chain trades, and signed by Airbag's key. The contract enforces the per-coin pot and the daily cap, not the rules themselves. You are trusting Airbag to apply the published rules.
- Pons's owner can redirect any coin's creator fee recipient with a 3-day timelock. That power belongs to Pons, not to Airbag or the creator, and applies to every Pons coin.
- A creator can still buy later from another wallet and sell, like anyone else. Airbag removes insider wallets and locks the launch bag; it cannot stop every bad actor.
- Pons can change its own fees for future launches or close public launching. Existing coins keep the terms they launched with.
